Juan-Pablo Montero is Professor of Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC-Chile), Distinguished Visiting Professor at Aalto University's Business School, and Research Associate at MIT’s CEEPR. He has held visiting positions at the MIT’s Sloan School of Management, the Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and Stanford’s CLAS and Economics. He received Bachelor and M.Sc. degrees in Civil Engineering from PUC-Chile and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from MIT.

Alexandre Street holds an M.Sc. and a D.Sc. (PhD) in electrical engineering (emphasis in operations research) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From 2003 to 2007, he participated in several consulting projects related to strategic bidding in the Brazilian energy auctions and market regulation at the Power System Research Consulting (PSR), Rio de Janeiro. From August 2006 to March 2007, he was a visiting researcher at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain.

Mónica Szurmuk is Senior Researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina, and a Professor of Latin American Literature at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín where she chairs the M.A. program in Latin American Literatures.
