A conversation on El incendio de la mina El Bordo with Yuri Herrera

The Praxis Working Group Presents "A conversation on El incendio de la mina El Bordo with Yuri Herrera". 

Join us for a conversation with internationally acclaimed author Yuri Herrera. The conversation will center on El incendio de la mina El Bordo (A Silent Fury), in which "Herrera redresses what scholar and historian Saidiya Hartman has defined as the violence of the archive, which suppresses marginalized voices" (Kristen Millares Young).

This event will be held in Spanish. It is hosted by the graduate-student working group Praxis, part of Stanford's Center for Latin American Studies, and cosponsored by the Department of Iberian and Latin American Cultures.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 23 at 1:00 p.m. PST.
