Creative Writing Workshop: Dissapropriation and Cross-genre

Information about course offerings for the current academic year can be found on the Latin American Studies section of the Stanford Bulletin Explore Degrees website. More detailed course descriptions including the times and locations can be found by searching on Explore Courses.

Please note: not all courses are offered every year. Blank fields indicate that the course is not offered this academic year.

In this hands-on workshop students will read a range of contemporary writers from the Spanish-speaking world in order to frame and better work with writing prompts issued in class (at least six). Students will investigate the notion of dissapropriation and cross-genre practices as they turn in writing exercises on weekly basis. We will end the class with a revised final piece and a public reading.
